Artist, machinist, and Star Wars enthusiast.
Tron is a Michigan native and has been a metal artist and sculptor with more than two decades' experience in the machining industry, specializing in Automotive, Motorcycle, and Aerospace design; prototyping, production planning, and manufacture. One passion that has always been part of Tron's life has always been Star Wars and motorcycles. Having survived a near fatal motorcycle accident in 2008, and while doing physical therapy to be able to use his arm again, he turned his gaze back to the objects of his youth.
Tron, the owner and sole artist of the Illuminated Saber and custom prop display company, Solo's Hold (a homage to one of the most captivating and influential characters in the Star Wars Universe), is the exception. Like some of the small Illuminated Saber companies run by a single aritst, Tron makes less than 4 dozen Lightsabers a year. In contrast, the brands worshipped by most enthusiasts produce tens of thousands a year. Tron makes what are by far some of the most intricate and ambitious Illuminated Sabers produced in the United States. But none are clones of other people's works; they're inspired by the tough, durable mentality of the Artist's roots in industrial America, and a deep commitment to the Characters they represent.
Often imitated but never duplicated, Tron's unique craftsmanship sets the gold standard for Illuminated Saber enthusiasts everywhere.
